Our origins
MODA Works began as Oliver's Pet Care in the fall of 2010. It started as a third-party seller on Amazon for a biodegradable dog poop bag. By the end of 2011, we reached $1.05M in retail
sales.
Over the years, Oliver's Pet Care continued to grow year over year and now has exclusive partnerships with many major pet brands (Earth Rated, NaturVet, West Paw, HuggleHounds, and Fabdog, to name a few). It ended up taking off so much that Shaheed left his previous job to focus solely on it. As Oliver's Pet Care grew, we eventually expanded into selling non-pet-related brands. Oliver's Pet Care then became MODA Works.
About us
Since 2010, MODA Works has grown into a team of 13 people. We are a team of friendly, creative individuals who love what we do and are passionate about developing and building brands. We’re proud of the inclusive environment we’ve created that encourages us to be ourselves, take risks, and constantly learn new skills.
We now represent over 30 brands across Amazon with over 450,000 monthly unit sales. We are currently ranked as a top 5 seller in the Pet category and a top 40 seller overall.
How we came to be
Timeline
2010-2012
Shaheed Khan founded Oliver's Pet Care alongside his wife, Julia Khan, in 2010. Oliver's would eventually transform into MODA Works.
He began by selling pet supplies on Amazon by purchasing directly from distributors. MODA Works hit over $1M in revenue at the end of 2012.
2013-2014
MODA Works started its first exclusive partnership with the pet supply brand Earth Rated in 2013. We continued to grow their brand presence on Amazon over the years, and they are now the #1 pet supply product on Amazon!
2015
MODA Works began offering a new service to support brands on Amazon's Vendor Central platform. This provided a new service area and allowed the company to help even more brands. MODA also hired their first full-time employee this same year!
2016-2020
MODA Works continued growing its pet brand portfolio including brands such as West Paw, NaturVet, HuggleHounds, etc. MODA also expanded into other non-pet categories with its second Seller Central account, NWM Innovations.
2021
As the portfolio of brand partnerships continued to grow, the team did as well! Between 2020 and 2021, the MODA Works team grew immensely to a team of 14.
2022
The MODA Works team is stronger than ever and continuing to grow! Thanks to everyone's hard work in 2022, we accomplished over 600,000 orders/month. 2022 was our biggest year with our revenue surpassing the 9-figure mark!
